As part of Affinity Health’s commitment to community upliftment, the leading medical insurance provider is proud to support Guild Cottage with Dignity Packs consisting of feminine hygiene products.
 
Located in Parktown West Johannesburg, Guild Cottage opened in 1907 as a home for orphans and mothers of displaced children as a result of the Anglo-Boer War and adapted in the early 80s to become a specialised short-term treatment centre for sexually abused children.
 
Today Guild Cottage accommodates girl survivors of gender based violence from all population groups. They currently care for 12 girls, but their home can cater for up to 18 children.
 
During September, Affinity Health provided 18 Dignity Packs to Guild Cottage. Each Dignity Pack consisted of various hygiene products including sanitary pads, body soap, body lotion, deodorant, a toothbrush and tooth paste.
